How to hire Filipino drivers — in brief

Rise Manpower Services, Inc. is a DMW-licensed Philippine recruitment agency that connects international logistics, transport, and fleet operators with skilled Filipino drivers. Founded in 1992, we have deployed over 10,000 Filipino workers — including drivers across the Gulf, Asia, North America, and the Pacific.

We source for every driver category: light and heavy vehicle (cars, vans, trucks, trailers), delivery and fleet (last-mile, dispatch, refrigerated), passenger transport (buses, coaches, chauffeurs), and specialized (tankers, mixers, dump trucks). All drivers hold a valid Philippine LTO Professional Driver's License with the appropriate restriction codes (1 through 8).

To start hiring, submit a Manpower Request at risemanpower.com/employer.php. Our team responds within 1–2 business days with a tailored quotation.

Why Hire Drivers from the Philippines

Licensed, experienced, English-speaking, and trusted across Gulf and global fleets.

LTO Professional License

All candidates hold a Philippine LTO Professional Driver's License with one or more restriction codes (1–8). We match drivers to your specific vehicle category before shortlisting.

Defensive Driving

Most candidates have completed defensive driving courses required by Gulf, Canadian, and European fleet operators. NBI clearance and clean-record verification are standard.

English-Capable

Filipino drivers communicate in English at a level sufficient for dispatch, navigation, customer interaction, and road signage. Higher fluency available for chauffeur and executive driver roles.

Years of Experience

Most drivers in our database have 5–15 years of professional driving experience — domestic commercial fleets, prior international deployments, or both.

How to Hire Filipino Drivers — Step by Step

Five clear phases from inquiry to arrival on site. Timeline depends on your destination country's visa and accreditation scheduling — we provide an estimate with your quotation.

1
Initial Inquiry

You submit, we respond — typically 1–2 business days.

You: Submit a Manpower Request through our inquiry form with driver category, required LTO restriction code, headcount, country, contract terms, and any additional certifications needed (defensive driving, hazmat, etc.).
Rise Manpower: Reviews your request and responds with a sourcing plan plus a tailored quotation. We flag any documentation or accreditation gaps to address upfront.
2
MWO Accreditation (employer-side, we guide you)

The biggest first-time hurdle — and the one we make easiest.

You: Get accredited as a foreign employer at the Migrant Workers Office (MWO) at your destination country. Provide business license, authorized rep ID, worksite map, accommodation images (if required), and signed employment contract.
Rise Manpower: Walks you through the MWO process. Provides ready-made DMW-compliant templates so first-time employers don't have to draft from scratch.
3
Sourcing & Selection

We deliver the shortlist; you make the final call.

Rise Manpower: Sources from our driver database. Pre-screens for LTO license validity and restriction code match, years of experience, defensive driving certification, English fluency, NBI clearance, and medical fitness. Delivers a shortlist of CVs.
You: Review the shortlist and interview candidates — in-person at our Manila office, virtually, or on a recruitment trip. Practical driving tests can be arranged. Final selection is yours.
4
Documentation & Deployment

Rise Manpower coordinates every step until arrival.

Rise Manpower: Handles worker documentation, medical clearance, contract signing, visa processing, Pre-Departure Orientation Seminar (PDOS), country-specific road-rules briefing, and flight booking.
You: Receive deployment updates at each stage. Confirm arrival logistics on your end (airport pickup, accommodation handover, local license conversion process, fleet orientation).
5
Post-Deployment Support

The relationship doesn't end at arrival.

Rise Manpower: Stays in touch through the probationary period. Replacement framework for workers who fail to perform within the agreed window, per the recruitment agreement.
You: Submit additional requests as your fleet grows. Repeat placements run much faster — accreditation is already in place.

Frequently Asked Questions

For foreign employers hiring Filipino drivers through Rise Manpower.

Submit a Manpower Request through Rise Manpower Services at risemanpower.com/employer.php. Specify the driver category you need (light vehicle, heavy truck, delivery, chauffeur, bus, tanker), the destination country, the required Philippine LTO license restriction code, and headcount. Our team responds within 1–2 business days with a sourcing plan and a tailored quotation. We handle the full process on the Philippine side — sourcing, screening, documentation, medical clearance, visa coordination, and deployment — alongside guidance on the employer-side accreditation through the Migrant Workers Office (MWO) at your destination country.

Light vehicle drivers (cars, vans), heavy vehicle drivers (trucks, trailers, articulated rigs), delivery drivers (last-mile and fleet), bus and coach drivers, chauffeurs and executive drivers, tanker drivers, concrete mixer drivers, refrigerated transport drivers, and dump truck drivers. We match candidates to your specific vehicle category and required Philippine LTO restriction code (1 through 8).

Philippine drivers carry an LTO Professional Driver's License with one or more restriction codes: Code 1 (motorcycle), Code 2 (light vehicle), Code 3 (light truck up to 4,500kg), Code 4 (heavy truck over 4,500kg), Code 5 (heavy articulated / trailer truck), Code 6 (bus), Code 7 (truck with trailer), Code 8 (heavy duty 4-wheel drive). Specify your required code in the Manpower Request and we shortlist drivers with the matching certification.

Yes — at the level needed for navigation, dispatch communication, road signage interpretation, and customer interaction on delivery routes. The Philippines is one of the world's largest English-speaking countries (ranked 18th globally on the EF English Proficiency Index 2024). For chauffeur and executive driver roles where English fluency is critical for client interaction, we screen specifically for higher conversational ability.

Beyond the LTO Professional License, candidates often hold TESDA NC II in Driving certification, defensive driving courses (often required by Gulf and Western employers), basic vehicle maintenance training, and prior commercial fleet experience. Many drivers we deploy have 5–15 years of professional driving experience in the Philippines or in prior international deployments.

Active driver deployments include Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, and other Gulf countries; Canada (under Temporary Foreign Worker programs for truck drivers); Japan (under the Specified Skilled Worker program); New Zealand, Cook Islands, and Vanuatu in the Pacific. Rise Manpower is a DMW-licensed Philippine recruitment agency authorized to deploy workers to 17 countries.

Yes. Rise Manpower Services, Inc. holds DMW License No. DMW-309-LB-03252024-R issued by the Department of Migrant Workers of the Republic of the Philippines. The agency is a member of the Philippine Association of Service Exporters, Inc. (PASEI) and accredited by the Taiwan Council of Labor Affairs. Founded in 1992, Rise Manpower has deployed over 10,000 Filipino workers internationally.

Rise Manpower provides a tailored quotation after reviewing your specific requirements. Pricing depends on factors including the volume (headcount) of the placement, the complexity of sourcing (heavy or specialized license restriction codes are rarer than light vehicle), the destination country (which determines visa processing and MWO requirements), and any additional certification needs (defensive driving, hazmat transport, etc.). To receive a quotation, submit your Manpower Request through the inquiry form at risemanpower.com/employer.php. Our team typically responds within 1–2 business days.

Rise Manpower does not offer rush placements — the regulatory screening, medical, documentation, and visa steps protect both the employer and the worker, and we do not compromise on them. The deployment timeline is measured from the date we receive the complete and compliant documents from the foreign employer. Once documents are in, visa processing and embassy scheduling at your destination country drive the remainder of the timeline and are not within our control. We communicate updates to you as they occur.

Yes. "Filipino" is the standard English spelling. "Philippino" and "Philipino" are common misspellings, and "Pilipino" is the Filipino-language spelling. All refer to workers from the Republic of the Philippines (Pilipinas in Filipino). Rise Manpower Services recruits and deploys skilled drivers from the Philippines for international logistics and transport employers.
