Privacy Policy

How we collect, use, and protect your personal information.

Last updated: October 2026 · Effective upon posting.

Rise Manpower Services, Inc. ("Rise", "we", "our", or "us") respects your right to privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, store, and protect your personal information in accordance with Republic Act No. 10173, otherwise known as the Data Privacy Act of 2012, its Implementing Rules and Regulations, and applicable issuances of the National Privacy Commission (NPC).

1. Who We Are

Rise Manpower Services, Inc. is a DMW-licensed (License No. DMW-309-LB-03252024-R) overseas employment agency based in the Philippines. We are the Personal Information Controller (PIC) of data processed through this website and our recruitment operations.

Registered Office: 3/F Dilexio Bldg., 1728 Singalong St., Malate, Manila, Philippines 1004
Email: rise@risemanpower.com

2. Personal Data We Collect

In the course of providing recruitment and deployment services we may collect, with your consent, the following categories of personal data:

  • Identifying information: full name, date and place of birth, civil status, nationality, sex, and government-issued IDs (passport number, SSS, PhilHealth, TIN).
  • Contact information: residential address, mobile number, email address, next-of-kin details.
  • Professional information: educational background, work history, certifications, licenses, language proficiency, references, résumé/CV.
  • Sensitive personal information: health records (pre-employment medical results), biometric data (photographs, fingerprints required by destination countries), and any information regarding criminal record where lawfully required by the host country.
  • Deployment data: employer assignment, contract terms, visa and OEC particulars, deployment dates, post-deployment check-ins.
  • Technical data: IP address, browser type, device information, and cookie data collected automatically when you visit this website.

3. How We Collect Your Data

  • Directly from you when you submit an application, inquiry, or form on this website.
  • From documents you submit (résumé, passport scan, certificates, clearances).
  • From third parties you authorise, such as previous employers, schools, and accredited medical clinics.
  • Automatically through cookies and server logs when you browse this website.

4. Purpose and Lawful Basis

We process your personal data only when we have a lawful basis under Sections 12 and 13 of the Data Privacy Act, specifically:

  • Your consent — given expressly when you tick the consent box on our application or inquiry forms.
  • Contractual necessity — to process your recruitment, match you with employers, and assist with your deployment.
  • Legal obligations — to comply with requirements of the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW), the Bureau of Immigration, host-country embassies and labour offices, OWWA, Philippine Overseas Labor Offices, and tax and social-benefit agencies.
  • Legitimate interests — to maintain security of this website, prevent fraud, and improve our services.

Specifically, your data is used to:

  • Evaluate your qualifications and match you with suitable overseas job orders.
  • Process documentation with the DMW, OWWA, host-country embassies, and partner employers.
  • Coordinate pre-employment medical exams, PDOS, visa stamping, and deployment logistics.
  • Provide post-deployment welfare, check-ins, and emergency assistance.
  • Respond to your inquiries and communicate updates about your application.
  • Comply with reporting obligations to Philippine government agencies and host-country authorities.

5. Sharing and Disclosure

We may share your personal data with the following categories of recipients, always on a need-to-know basis and with appropriate safeguards:

  • Prospective and actual employers abroad who have signed recruitment agreements with Rise.
  • Government agencies, including but not limited to the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW), Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA), Bureau of Immigration, Department of Foreign Affairs, Migrant Workers Offices (MWO), Manila Economic and Cultural Office (MECO) for Taiwan, and host-country labour and immigration authorities.
  • Accredited service providers — medical clinics, travel agencies, training institutions, couriers, and IT/hosting providers acting as our Personal Information Processors.
  • Courts, regulators, or law-enforcement authorities where disclosure is required by law or legal process.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it with marketing or advertising third parties.

6. Cross-Border Transfers

Because overseas employment inherently requires the transfer of your personal data outside the Philippines, by applying with Rise you expressly consent to the transfer of your data to destination countries (e.g. Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Japan, Taiwan, Canada, Poland, and other jurisdictions where we deploy). We ensure such transfers are covered by the applicable contract, host-country law, and employer commitments protecting your information.

7. Data Retention

We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes set out above and to comply with our legal obligations. As a general rule:

  • Active applicants and deployed workers: for the duration of engagement plus ten (10) years thereafter, consistent with DMW record-keeping requirements.
  • Unsuccessful applicants: up to two (2) years after the last contact, unless you ask us to delete your record sooner.
  • Employer inquiries: up to five (5) years from the last interaction.
  • Website technical logs: up to one (1) year.

After the retention period lapses, we securely destroy or anonymise the data.

8. Security Measures

We implement reasonable and appropriate organisational, physical, and technical security measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction:

  • Encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) on our website and applicant portal.
  • Access controls and role-based permissions in our internal systems.
  • Locked physical filing cabinets for hard-copy documents.
  • Regular staff training on data privacy and confidentiality undertakings.
  • Breach-response protocols compliant with NPC Circular 16-03.

9. Your Rights as a Data Subject

Under the Data Privacy Act you have the following rights, which you may exercise free of charge:

  • Right to be informed about the collection and processing of your data.
  • Right to access your personal data and obtain a copy.
  • Right to object to processing in certain cases.
  • Right to rectification — to correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
  • Right to erasure or blocking — to request deletion when lawful grounds exist.
  • Right to damages in case of violation of your rights.
  • Right to data portability — to obtain your data in a structured, commonly used format.
  • Right to file a complaint with the National Privacy Commission.

To exercise any of these rights, please contact our Data Protection Officer using the details in Section 11.

10. Cookies and Website Analytics

Our website uses strictly necessary cookies to operate correctly (e.g. session management) and may use analytics cookies to understand how visitors use our site. You may disable cookies through your browser settings, though some features of the site may not work as intended.
