As of the December 19, 2019, RISE Manpower Services, Inc. has been included in the list of approved sending organizations for Japan’s Technical Intern Training Program and for Specified Skilled Worker residency status.
The Technical Intern Training Program or TITP was established in 1993 for the purpose of transferring skills, technologies, or knowledge accumulated in Japan to developing regions and promoting international cooperation via human resource and economic development. The program takes a maximum of five years and provides skills and knowledge that may otherwise be difficult for trainees to gain in their home countries. The Specified Skilled Worker residence status was introduced in April of 2019 as part of the Japan’s amended Immigration Control Act to address the country’s labor shortages. This status of residence adheres to strict standards requiring the aspiring foreigner to have considerable knowledge or experience in Specified Industry Fields as well as a firm grasp of the Japanese language used in daily life and in the workplace. These will be confirmed by tests measuring the required skill standards and Japanese language level.
